2-DAY TRACK & FIELD STRENGTH & CONDITIONING PROGRAM
Tuesday / Thursday 6:45PM
This type of program is designed for track & field athletes that are in-season or have little to no experience strength training.
Includes:
Training - Comprehensive training plan tailored to track and field athletes. Focus on safe and effective execution of fundamental movements required for life and sport. Adaptable approach to training to meet athletes where they are to promote athletic gains and reduce likelihood of injury. Programs are designed to have athlete work on various qualities important to track & field and promote peaking during competition season.
Nutrition - Education on fueling the body for life and sport during training periods as well as competition. Athletes will be given take-home nutritional information on how to make better choices, helping them reach their sport goals.
Lifestyle - Discussion and counseling athletes on how to adopt better habits to optimize health and sport performance. Athletes will learn more about sleep, goal setting and recovery work and how to build these habits so they last into college and beyond.
Performance Measurements & Tracking - Progress will be monitored to ensure the efficacy of training and adjustments will be made to athletes training plan based on results. Measurements such as maximal running speed, vertical jump and strength will be collected.
**In an effort to keep consistency with group sizes and other gym functions, absences are at the expense of the athlete unless permission is given prior to the missed session. Make-up sessions may be available under certain conditions.
